Truth-Grounded
We believe scripture is God's authoritative, inspired, inerrant, sufficient, and preserved word. Scripture reveals God to us along with his redemptive and sanctifying plan. Therefore, scripture is the standard for all that we believe and practice. Being truth grounded also means giving Christ the preeminence, as scripture reveals that Jesus is the Messiah (Mt. 16:15-16), Jesus is Lord (Rm. 10:13), Jesus is God (Heb. 1:8), and Jesus saves (John 3:16-17).
Gospel-Centered
The Church is built on the confession that Jesus is ”the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Mt. 16:15-18). Since Jesus is who he said he was, we can be confident that he was able to accomplish the work of the Gospel (1 Cor. 15). The Gospel must be at the heart of the church, for by it the church has been redeemed, is being sanctified, and will be consummated. Therefore, everything the church does must be centered around the gospel.
Mission-Oriented
The gospel must also be on the lips of the church. All believers have been given the command to be mission-oriented (Mt. 28:18-20). The church has been given the task of being an outpost through which missions are accomplished. It is to train, send, and support missionaries to the ends of the earth, while at the same time being a beacon of light in their own local area. This is with the intention of starting new contextual local gatherings wherever the church is on mission.
